To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
When you open an account, you will be asked to fill out and sign a membership card. This card will ask for information that will identify you such as your name, address, birth date and social security number. We will also ask for a copy of a valid driver's license or other form of identification. New members must open a share (savings) account with a minimum opening balance of $5.00. There is a one-time new member fee of $2.50 when opening a first share savings account. If you are under age 18 and open a youth share savings account, there is no new member fee.
